Welcome
Welcome to our summer issue - we hope you are enjoying some lovely sunshine. Just make sure you have your library books, CDs and DVDs, wherever you are and whatever the weather!
As usual, we have lots of suggestions about what to read on your holidays including our regular book news slot plus our selection of history books, both fiction and non fiction. We don't have many events in libraries during the summer, but we would like to remind you that all children are invited to join our annual summer reading challenge. We also have some top titles for getting your children started on the challenge.
If you are interested in your family history or the history of Hertfordshire, find out more from 'Who do you think you are'. Our local studies team have some ideas for helping you with your online research.
We can't keep quiet about it even though we're librarians!

We have a fantastic collection of over 250,000 books and on-line resources, including our extensive Reference Library, Performing Arts Collection, Business Information Point and Official (Government) Publications Library, each run by specialist librarians. So why not give us a try?
